ESPN’s David Hale is rolling out his Preseason ACC Position Rankings, and he ranks NC State’s Wide Receivers/Tight Ends 4th in the ACC.

For context, he looked back at last season, and ranked the Wolfpack 17th out of 17 in 2023.

Nuggets from Hale’s Thread

-NC State had a star in KC Concepcion but not much else (this was similar for Stanford & Duke, too)

-Why are Noah Rogers and Justin Joly so significant for NC State? They were brutal when it came to winning contested battles (17.9% catch rate, worst in ACC), bad in the end zone (3rd-worst TD rate) and didn’t stretch the field (3rd-worst yd/route run). Dacarri Collins getting good offseason reviews, too.

-Returning ACC WRs who averaged 2+ yards/route run last season: Caulin Lacy, Lou Xavier Restrepo, Mia Eric Singleton, GT Jacolby George, Mia KC Concepcion, NCSU Elic Ayomanor, Stan Jordan Moore, Duke Da’Quan Felton, VT

-Top returning ACC WR by PFF grade Xavier Restrepo, Mia Caulin Lacy, Lou KC Concepcion, NCSU Jordan Hudson, SMU Jordan Moore, Duke Elic Ayomanor, Stan Jaylin Lane, VT Jake Bailey, SMU Chris Tyree, ND Jacolby George, Mia Sammy Brown, Mia

-Top returning TEs by PFF grade Corey Dyches, Cal Tyler Neville, UVA Justin Joly, NCSU Mark Redman, Lou Dan Villari, Cuse Jackson Hawes, GT John Copenhaver, UNC Jake Briningstool, Clem Jake Johnson, UNC Sam Roush, Stan
