NC State’s Depth Chart vs. Tennessee (with notes)

#24 NC State has released their Depth Chart for their game this Saturday against #15 Tennessee. There is only 1 change to the Depth Chart from Week 1. I have provided a few notes below.

Notes

• CHANGE: Redshirt Freshman Wide Receiver Noah Rogers was listed as the 2nd Kickoff Returner last week, behind Redshirt Freshman Running Back Hollywood Smothers.
  • Now Senior Free Safety DK Kaufman has replaced Rogers.
• Senior Nickel Ja’Had Carter was listed as the starter in last weeks Depth Chart against WCU, but he was held out due to injury. Doeren mentioned in his press conference today that he will be ready to play against Tennessee this weekend.
  • Redshirt Freshman Tamarcus Cooley played Nickel in Carter’s absence against the Catamounts.
• Senior Davin Vann and Redshirt Junior Travali Price are the Wolfpack’s starting Defensive Ends, but they both lined up on the interior on multiple occasions against WCU in certain formations.
• Redshirt Freshman Noah Rogers is the starter at the Z-Wide Receiver position, but against WCU, Junior Wesley Grimes played 5 more snaps.
• Even though Sophomore Brandon Cisse is the starter at Cornerback, there were plenty of times that he was on the field at the same time as Redshirt Senior Corey Coley. In those instances, Coley moved inside to cover the slot.
