Wide Receiver Kevin Concepcion is only 1 game into his Sophomore season, and it’s already worth pointing out that he is on a historic pace in the NC State Record Books.

Concepcion had 3 touchdown receptions in the Wolfpack’s season opening victory over Western Carolina last Thursday night, giving him 6 games with 2+ touchdown receptions. For perspective, the great Torry Holt holds the school record, with 7 games of 2+ touchdown receptions, over the span of 4 years (38 games). KC is 1 multi-touchdown reception game away from tying Holt, and he’s only played 14 games.

Last year, Concepcion broke the school record for receptions (71) and touchdown receptions (10) by a Freshman.

His 13 career touchdown receptions already is tied for 14th in NC State history. KC is averaging 68.6 receiving yards per game, which ranks 4th in school history. His average of 5.7 receptions per game ranks 1st.

To make it plain, Concepcion is on a pace that no other NC State receiver has ever been on at this point in his career.
