Thoughts on CJ Bailey playing the way he did

Oh, yeah.

So we have a saying over here, it was like, stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. You know, CJ, you know, he came out there, you know, and we had his back. You know, we’re going to always put up and we’re always going to stay for him.

So he had confidence in us and we had confidence in him.

CJ’s throws to you and Noah Rogers got things going

Oh, you know, seeing it for myself and Noah on that corner, you know, when he got that foot down, I was hyped. I was like, ‘hey, you like that, my dog.’

I was like, OK, you know, let’s get going. Let’s keep this train rolling. And for me myself, you know, obviously y’all can see it on the field after I caught it, I was hyped, you know.

CJ and Grayson, you know, I’m just happy they’re here, for real.

Did those catches give you the confidence that you guys were going to kill this game off and get the dub?

Oh yeah, for sure. It was like, hey, you know, we can get this done.

We just, you know, we have to stop slacking.

Did you say anything to CJ before he went out there?

I was like, ‘CJ, just be who you are, bro. Be the QB who you are. Like, they recruited you for a reason. You here.

Did CJ show signs of being a leader?

Uh, yeah.

Honestly, he didn’t have to. I feel like the whole group led between the whole linemen, you know, the tights, wideouts, insides, running backs. It was like, it wasn’t like, you know, since, you know, obviously Grayson is one of our better leaders on the team.

It was like, ‘hey, we got you.’ We gonna pick up where he left off. It was like the whole team stepped up.
