NC State 2024 Football Redshirt Report

NC State has played 4 football games in 2024, which means it’s time to give a redshirt report.

The following True Freshmen have played in all 4 games thus far, which means if they plan in one more game, they will no longer be able to redshirt the season.

Wide Receiver Terrell Anderson 

Wide Receiver Keenan Jackson

The following True Freshmen have played in 3 games.

Quarterback CJ Bailey

The following True Freshmen have played in 2 games.

Wide Receiver Jonathan Paylor

At this point, it seems clear and obvious that Anderson, Jackson and Bailey will burn their redshirt this season. Anderson an Jackson are obviously key rotation pieces in the Wolfpack’s Wide Receiver room. Jackson has seen his snaps increase every week, and Anderson has seen his increase in 3 of the 4 weeks.

Bailey has obviously played 3 games, and with the date of Redshirt Senior Grayson McCall’s return unknown, I think it’s fair to expect that he will play in at least 2 more games.

In regards to Paylor, the two weeks that he played in were Weeks 1 & 2, and he played a combined 3 snaps between the two games. I know that he showed up in the Summer, which was later than most of the 2024 recruiting class, but I expected him to be more of a feature in NC State’s offense at this point.
