Numerous NC State Players had Significant ‘Firsts’ in the Loss Against Clemson

While NC State’s 35-59 loss to Clemson on Saturday left much to be desired, it was a big day of firsts for quite a few members of the Wolfpack.

Sophomore Running Back Kendrick Raphael rushed for a career high 90 yards. He has been the NC State’s most effective back, averaging 7.0 yards per carry on the season. His 10 carries against Clemson led the team.

True Freshman Quarterback CJ Bailey started his first game against the Tigers, and threw his first career touchdown pass.

True Freshman Terrell Anderson caught his first career touchdown against the Tigers, on a 40-yard pass from Redshirt Freshman Lex Thomas.

Speaking of Thomas, he made his college debut on Saturday, and threw his first career touchdown. He was 4 of 6 for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Redshirt Freshman Running Back Hollywood Smothers rushed for his first career touchdown, scampering into the end zone from 2 yards out.

True Freshman Keenan Jackson snagged his first collegiate reception against Clemson (15 yards).

Redshirt Senior Dawson Jaramillo played his first snaps as a member of the Wolfpack, playing 10 snaps at Center.
