NC State Head Coach Dave Doeren shared at his weekly press conference on Monday that he expects Senior Defensive End Davin Vann to play against Rival UNC on Saturday.

Vann only played 17 snaps last Thursday night against Georgia Tech, having to leave the game due to an injury. Despite missing the rest of the game, he was able to remain on the sideline and cheer on his team against the Yellow Jackets.

Davin heads into his final regular season game ranked in the Top-10 in NC State history in 2 statistical categories.

Vann has 19.5 career sacks, which is tied for the 9th most in school history.

1. Bradley Chubb – 2014-17, 26-157
2. Mario Williams – 2003-05, 25.5-156
3. Tyler Lawrence – 1990-93, 24-157
4. Art Norman – 2011-14, 23.5-173
5. Carl Reeves – 1991-94, 22.5-197
6. Manny Lawson – 2002-05, 21-163
6. Mike Jones – 1987-90 – 21-128
8. Willie Young – 2005-2009 – 20.5-143
9. Davin Vann – 2020-2024 – 19.5-145
9. Drake Thomas – 2019-22 – 19.5-114

Vann is averaging 0.5 sacks per game. If the Wolfpack can make it to a bowl game, Vann is on pace to finish with 20.5 sacks, which would be tied for 8th all-time.

He’s also tied for 7th place in school history in forced fumbles.

1. Jesse Campbell – 1988-90, 15
2. Levar Fisher – 1998-01, 9
3. Bradley Chubb – 2014-17, 8
3. Earll Wolff – 2009-12, 8

At the rate Vann is going, he could force another fumble, and leave NC State tied for 3rd place in school history in forced fumbles.
