3-Star TE Gus Ritchey Signs his NLI to Play at NC State

Today is National Signing Day for the 2025 Football Recruiting Class.

3-Star Tight End Gus Ritchey (6’3″/245) has signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at NC State.

Ritchey originally committed to UNC on August 1st, 2023, but flipped his commitment to NC State on August 12th. When he committed to run with the Wolfpack, he was a 4-star prospect.

He also held offers from Duke, Notre Dame, Maryland, Michigan, Miami, UVA, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Oregon, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Washington, Colorado, Georgia Tech and others.

Ritchey was the 2nd member of the NC State 2025 recruiting class.

Rivals ranks Ritchey as the #19 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class. He plays for Cary High School right down the road.

This season Ritchey had 23 receptions for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns.
