NC State vs. FSU: A Historical Perspective

NC State and Florida State will play one another on the basketball court for the 64th time in a series that began back on December 1st, 1955, when the Wolfpack defeated the Seminoles 88-63 at home.

NC State heads into today’s contest holding a 1-game edge, leading the overall series 32-31. The Wolfpack is 18-11 at home against the Seminoles, and 10-8 in the Lenovo Center.

Even though NC State holds a 1-game lead in the overall series, FSU has dominated the series in recent memory, winning 4 of the last 5, 8 of the last 10 and 13 of the last 20.

Last year the Wolfpack lost to the Seminoles down in Tallahassee 83-90. Jayden Taylor came off the bench to lead the Pack with 24 points, shooting 7 of 11 from the field and 4 of 6 from three. Casey Morsell chipped in 19 points (8/15 from the field and 2/3 from three) and a team high 6 assists. DJ Horne had 15 points, but struggled shooting, making 6 of 17. Mo Diarra had 13 points and team high 9 boards.
