Earlier today, NC State offered South Carolina Sophomore Tight End Transfer Connor Cox (6’6″/242), and he confirmed with me that he is planning to take an Official Visit to Raleigh early next week.

Cox played in 5 games as a True Freshman in 2023, logging 21 snaps at Tight End, and 20 snaps on Special Teams. He didn’t record any stats.

This year, Cox played in 4 games, logging 19 snaps at Tight End, and 3 snaps on Special Teams.

Even though he played limited snaps this season, Cox’s PFF grade was 72.6.

ON3 currently ranks him as the #39 Tight End in the Transfer Portal.

Since he only played in 4 games this season, Cox was able to redshirt this season, giving him 3 years of eligibility remaining.

Since entering the Portal, Cox has picked up offers from NC State, Michigan St. and Kansas.

Coming out of High School, Cox was a 3-star prospect in the Gamecocks’ 2023 recruiting class out of Jacksonville, Florida. ESPN ranked him as the #25 Tight End in the 2023 class.
