According to my friends over at TheWolfpacker, Senior Safety is planning to return in 2025, after the Tennessee court ruling, followed by an appeal by the NCAA, that grants all NCAA College Athletes whose eligibility expires this athletic calendar year, another year of eligibility in 2025-26.

Fitzgerald played his first two years at Coffeyville Community College.

Back in December of 2023, Fitzgerald chose to run with the Wolfpack over a Top-5, that included SMU, Arizona State, Maryland and Cincinnati.

ON3, ESPN and 247Sports all ranked Fitzgerald as the #1 Junior College Safety Prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, and ON3 ranked him as a 4-star prospect. ESPN ranked him as the #11 overall JUCO prospect in the 2023 recruiting class.

In 2023, Bishop made an immediate impact as a member of the Wolfpack. Though he only started 3 games at Strong Safety, he played in 537 snaps, seeing action in all 13 games. Fitzgerald recorded 42 tackles, 3 pass breakups and 2 interceptions.

This season, Fitzgerald started in 11 of the 12 games he played in, tallying 51 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 7 pass breakups and 3 interceptions. He led the team in interceptions, and was tied for the team lead in pass breakups.

With the return of Fitzgerald in 2025, and Devan Boykin redshirting this year, the Wolfpack will have two returning starters for their 2 Safety positions.
