Happy Birthday to NC State icon Will Privette and the legend of #RollPack

Yesterday was Will Privette’s birthday. He turned 35 according to his Twitter (X).

If you don’t know who Will is, then let us remind you of this NC State legend.

In 2013, Will, with the help of his friend, rushed the court in his wheelchair after NC State beat #1 Duke at the PNC Arena. The rush of the crowd was so great, that Will was knocked out of chair and in danger of being trampled by the celebrating fans.

That is when CJ Leslie jumped to action, picking up Will and saving the day.

The story swept the nation…

He was featured on just about every major news network the next day, cementing him as part of Wolfpack lore that will never be forgotten.

After the story went viral, the University partnered with Will to release the unforgettable ‘Roll Pack’ T-shirts.
