3-Star 2026 EDGE/Safety Koby Sarkodie (6’2″/200) verbally committed to NC State today, after visiting this past weekend for the Wolfpack’s Junior Day.

Sarkodie plays for Milford Mill Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. 247Sports ranks him as the number 9 player overall in the state in the 2026 recruiting class.

NC State offered Sarkodie on January 21st, and he quickly scheduled a visit. He chose to run with the Wolfpack over offers from Penn St., Maryland, Tennessee, Syracuse, Minnesota, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Pitt, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and others.

As a junior this past fall, Sarkodie had 35 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 5 pass breakups.

Sarkodie is the Wolfpack’s third verbal commitment in their 2026 recruiting class, joining three-star Offensive Tackle Brady Sakowitz and three-star Quarterback Jacob Smith. Out of the three, Sarkodie is the highest-ranked player according to ON3, 247Sports, and Rivals.

ON3 ranks NC State’s three-man 2026 recruiting class 38th nationally after the addition of Sarkodie.
