As a Senior at Viera High School, he earned 2nd Team All-American honors from MaxPreps, hitting .471.

In his first year at NC State, Sosa started in 30 of the 35 games he played in as a Freshman (26 as a DH). Sosa hit .230 with 26 Hits, 6 Home Runs, 24 RBI’s and 16 Runs. He started every game in the NCAA Tournament, hitting .273 with a Home Run, a Double, 3 RBI’s and 9 Hits.

Expectations are high for Sosa in Year 2.
