Previewing NC State’s Opponent: Stanford

NC State (9-13/2-9) will play at Stanford (15-8/7-5) tonight at 7 PM on the ACC Network. Here’s a preview of the Cardinals.

Stanford is 2-5 in Quad 1 games, defeating Santa Clara and UNC on the road, and 1-2 in Quad 2 games, defeating Cal at their place. Their worst loss of the season was a Quad 4 loss against Cal Poly at home.

Senior Forward Maxime Raynaud (7’1″/250) leads the ACC in scoring (20.2) and rebounds (11.7). He is shooting 47.8% from the field, and 33.9% from three. He has played his entire collegiate career for the Cardinals.

Senior Guard Jaylen Blakes leads Stanford in assists (5.0), which ranks 6th in the ACC. He also is scoring 14.6 points per game, and is averaging 1.9 steals per contest, which ranks 4th in the conference. Blakes played his first three seasons at Duke.

Junior Guard Oziyah Sellers 14.3 points per game, shooting 48.4% from the field, and 41.2% from three. He played his first two seasons at Stanford.
