According to his research, NC State is one of only 15 schools in the College Football Era (2014-24) that has not achieved a 10-win season.

The Wolfpack is also one of just three Power 5 schools in the College Football Playoff era to maintain a winning record throughout this period yet still fail to secure a 10-win season.

NC State has come close three times during the CFP era, achieving nine wins in four different seasons (2017, 2018, 2021, and 2023).

Regrettably, all the preseason hype leading into the 2024 season raised hopes that it would be their breakthrough year.
