NC State & App St. to Play a Home-and-Home Football Series
According to Brett McMurphy of Action Network, NC State and Appalachian State have scheduled a home-and-home football series. The Wolfpack will host the Mountaineers in 2026, and App State will host in 2028.
The Wolfpack and the Mountaineers previously had a home-and-home series scheduled, with games set to be played in Boone in 2026 and Raleigh in 2027.
Last year, when NC State agreed to play Virginia in a non-conference home-and-home series (Raleigh – 2025 & Charlottesville – 2026), the series between the Wolfpack and the Mountaineers was canceled. However, at the time, the messaging indicated a strong intent to reschedule it.
With the NC State vs. App State series now finalized, here’s a look at the Wolfpack’s non-conference schedule for 2026 and 2028.
