NC State pep band has reportedly been invited to play for the new head coach announcement

For those of you who had “NC State pep band” as the ones who leaked confirmation an NC State head coacihng hire, you win.

The pep band has been invited to play for the new head coach announcement 👀 no date yet but athletics seems to know who, just waiting for it to be official. We’ve been told to be on the lookout as it will be a very quick notification before we have to perform. #WadeToState

Sara Sisk, who is in NC State’s pep band and marching band, posted today that the band was notified that they will be playing at the new coach announcement and to be ready, as notification will be quick.

But why would they be already scheduling a new coach announcement if a deal wasn’t done? Well, maybe something is done or maybe there is an assumption that a deal is about to be done.

This all is lining up with the intel that NC State flew to Houston to meet with Will Wade and reportedly had another meeting in the works (this time in Raleigh.)

A lot of smoke, but is there fire?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
