It’s been a minute since a NC State Football Recruiting update, and there are a few things I need to catch up on.

4-Star 2026 Safety Cortez Redding (6’0″/170) released his Top 8 schools, and NC State made the cut along with Florida, Auburn, Indiana, FSU, Miami, LSU and Ole Miss.

Redding is a consensus 4-star prospect, with ON3 ranking him as the #137 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, the #13 Safety and the #17 player in the state of Georgia.

He attended NC State’s second Junior Day event on the first Saturday of February. This past fall, Redding recorded 118 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, and 10 pass breakups for Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA).

4-Star Cornerback Jalen Williams (6’0″/160) has listed NC State in his Top-5, along with Arizona St., Oklahoma St., Ole Miss and Pitt.

Rivals ranks Williams as the #8 Cornerback nationally in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #44 player in the state of Georgia.

Williams has scheduled an Official Visit to NC State for June 13-15. He was in attendance at the Wolfpack’s 1st Junior Day Event on the last Saturday in the month of January.

This past season, Williams had 38 tackles, 10 pass breakups, 4 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions for Kell High School in Marietta, Georgia.

3-Star Offensive Tackle Edward Baker (6’4″/315) has included NC State in his Top-7 along with Alabama, Virginia, Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee and Florida.

247Sports ranks Baker as the #44 Interior Offensive Lineman in the 2026 recruiting class, and the #13 player in the state of Maryland.

Baker has an Official Visit scheduled with NC State for June 13-15.

He plays for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.
