WATCH: Charles Barkley: “NC State is 1 of the Best Jobs in the Country”

After news broke today that Will Wade has in fact signed a 6-year contract with NC State to become their next Men’s Basketball Coach, Basketball Legend Charles Barkley had the following to say about Will Wade, and significance of the NC State job.

“That guy (Will Wade) can flat out coach. NC State has got them a great coach. I feel bad for McNeese, but we all looking for better jobs,” said Barkley. “NC State is one of the best jobs in the country and that guy can flat-out coach. Welcome to him.”

Wally Szczerbiak then chimed in that the ACC better brace themselves for the arrival of Will Wade at NC State.

“ACC better watch out because Will Wade is coming and you know, he turns teams around instantly,” said Szczerbiak. “It’s going to be interesting to see him there.”

Also, it was beautiful to see Barkley call out UNC in dialogue with co-host Kenny Smith earlier this week, who played basketball for the Tar Heels. Barkley called UNC Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham ‘Harry Houdini’ for working his magic to get the Tar Heels into the NCAA Tournament.

“Don’t ever trust a guy named Bubba.”
