NC State 2025 Guard Signee RJ Greer announced today that he is decommitting from the Wolfpack and is reopening his recruitment.

Greer verbally committed to NC State back on June 16th last summer and signed his National Letter of Intent in November. Originally, he chose to run with the Wolfpack over a Top-4 that included Cincinnati, Penn State, and the NBL in Australia.

247Sports, ON3, and ESPN all rank Greer as a 3-star prospect, but Rivals gives him 4 stars, ranking him as the #131 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class.

Greer was a finalist to be Mr. Ohio Basketball, averaging 18.9 points per game for his high school, Alter, this season.

NC State’s 2025 high school recruiting class is now a one-man class, consisting of 4-Star Forward Zymicah Wilkins.
