Yesterday, there were reports that NC State junior forward Ismael Diouf was entering the Transfer Portal. To be transparent, I shared that report and have since taken it down.

Diouf informed me that he has not entered the Transfer Portal and is uncertain about whether he will. He has not yet made that decision.

Diouf joined the Wolfpack this past offseason from Laval College in Quebec City, Canada. Despite being the #1 draft pick in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), Diouf opted to continue his college basketball career at NC State, committing to run with the Pack on June 24th last summer.

This season, Diouf appeared in 18 games, averaging 2.2 points in 8 minutes per game. His best performance was a 9-point, 5-rebound game on the road at Stanford.

After playing two years at Laval and one year at NC State, Diouf has one year of eligibility remaining.

Since the Transfer Portal opened on Monday, five Wolfpack players have entered: Forward Ben Middlebrooks and Guards Mike James, Dennis Parker Jr., Marcus Hill and Bryce Heard.
