To the Lake Charles Community, McNeese State University, and All of Southwest Louisiana,

As I prepare to embark on the next chapter of my career. I want to take a moment to reflect on the unforgettable journey I’ve had over these past two years What an incredible two years it has been. I wasn’t just about coaching. It was about building something meaningful and creating memories that will last a lifetime. It was about growth, resilience, and the kind of community support that makes a place truly special.

From the first day Lauren, Caroline, and I arrived, we were embraced by the Lake Charles community. You made us feel at home from the very beginning, and for that, we are forever grateful. the energy and spirit of this town– and the unyielding loyalty of its people–have fueled us every step of the way. Together we’ve shared victories, weathered challenges, and most importantly, forged relationships that will last far beyond these two years.

A special thank you to Dr. Wade Rousse, Heath Schroyer, the entire McNeese administration, and the incredible faculty and staff. Your leadership and unwavering support have been key in making this journey what it has been. Most importantly to the student athletes–the heart and soul of tis program–you’ve given everything. You made history. You turned dreams into reality. I am beyond proud of every one of you. You’re not just athletes; you’re legends. You will forever have a place in McNeese’s storied legacy.

To the donors, the fans, and the students–you are the backbone of this program. The passion, the loyalty, the excitement you brought every single day made this experience unforgettable. lt has been such a joy and honor to be a part of this community, and I’ll always look back with pride at what we accomplished together.

This past week, especially, was a momentous and unforgettable celebration of what we built together. The love and pride this city and its people have for McNeese were on full display, and it was an honor to witness that.

As I take the next steps in my journey, I leave McNeese with a sense of fulfillment, knowing we made a lasting impact. What we accomplished was possible only because of this extraordinary community that rallied around us, and I’m grateful for each of you who played a part in this special chapter.

I will carry a piece of Lake Charles with me always. The memories, the friendships, and the experiences will live in my heart forever. Geaux Pokes forever!
