REPORT: NC State is 1 of 2 Schools in the Best Shape to Land Indiana Transfer Forward Mackenzie Mbako

According to Jeff Goodman, NC State is one of two schools in the best position to land Indiana transfer forward Mackenzie Mbako (6’8″/210), alongside Kentucky.

Mbako just wrapped up his sophomore season at Indiana, averaging 12.2 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 43.7% from the field and 32.9% from three. He has been a two-year starter for the Hoosiers, averaging 12.2 points and 4.1 rebounds as a freshman.

ON3 and 247Sports both rank Mbako as a 4-star prospect in the transfer portal. ON3 ranks him as the No. 62 overall player and the No. 11 small forward, while 247Sports ranks him No. 55 overall and the No. 9 power forward.
