Since 1970, a wide receiver from NC State has led the NFL in receiving yards. In 1983, Mike Quick topped the league with 1,409 receiving yards, and Torry Holt led the NFL in 2000 (1,635 yards) and again in 2003 (1,696 yards).

Over the past 55 years, NC State is tied for the 3rd-most seasons with an NFL receiving yard leader.
