NC State has reached out to UAB transfer forward Christian Coleman (6’9″/205).

Coleman just wrapped his fourth year of college basketball—and his second at UAB. This past season, he started 35 of 37 games, averaging 11.6 points and 7.1 rebounds for the Blazers while shooting 53.3% from the field. In 2022-23, Coleman transferred to UAB from the JUCO ranks, where he averaged 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19.3 minutes per game, shooting 54.6% from the field.

As a freshman, Coleman started his college career at LSU-Alexandria, where he averaged 12.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks, earning Red River Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors. In 2022-23, he transferred to South Plains College, where he averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks—and was ranked the No. 2 Junior College prospect by JUCORecruiting.com.

Coleman has grown like a weed in college. When he graduated from Franklin Parish High School, he was a 6’1″ point guard.

He’s grown 8 inches since entering the college ranks.

Players who ran out of eligibility this year—but played previously in junior college—have been granted an additional year of eligibility due to the ongoing legal battles against the NCAA. As a result, Coleman has one more year of eligibility.
