Former NC State Guard Dennis Parker Jr. is Transferring to Radford

Former NC State Guard Dennis Parker Jr. is transferring to Radford. The Highlanders were 20-13 this season, finishing 4th in the Big South.

During his freshman year, he averaged 15.4 minutes, 4.7 points, and 3.2 rebounds across 29 games, starting 12 of them. This year, his averages dropped to 12.3 minutes, 2.9 points, and 2.3 rebounds in 27 games, without any starts.

The standout basketball prospect from Richmond, Virginia, was a consensus 4-star player in NC State’s 2023 recruiting class and was the only high school player enrolled that year.

Parker Jr. has two years of eligibility remaining.

Since the Transfer Portal opened on March 24th, nine Wolfpack players have entered: Forwards Ben Middlebrooks and Ismael Diouf, Guards Dontrez StylesBreon PassTrey ParkerMike JamesDennis Parker Jr., Marcus Hill and Bryce Heard. Parker Jr. is only the 2nd one to find a new home, joining Mike James, who is transferring to Vanderbilt.
