NC State Guard/Forward Dontrez Styles is entering the Transfer Portal.

This past season was Styles’ lone season in Raleigh, transferring in this past offseason from Georgetown. He ranked 2nd on the team in scoring (11.4) and led the Pack in rebounding (5.0). Styles shot 36.1% from three.

In 2025-26, Styles is looking for his 5th school, playing his first two seasons at UNC, before 1-year stints at Georgetown and NC State the past two seasons.

Technically speaking, Styles is out of years of eligibility, but he’s banking on the NCAA passing new legislation that would grant players five years of eligibility. Wolfpack Forward Ben Middlebrooks and Guard Breon Pass are banking on the same thing. Earlier in the year, news started swirling that this was a possibility, but as things currently stand, nothing has been passed.

Since the Transfer Portal opened on March 24th, nine Wolfpack players have entered: Forwards Ben Middlebrooks and Ismael Diouf, Guards Dontrez Styles, Breon Pass, Trey Parker, Mike JamesDennis Parker Jr., Marcus Hill and Bryce Heard. James is the only one to find a new home, committing to Vanderbilt.
