McNeese St. Transfer Guard Quadir Copeland (6’6″/200) has signed the dotted line to play basketball for NC State next season.

“Quadir is a terrific addition to our team. He is a tough, competitive player that wants to win. He has a complete game and is going to figure out what he needs to do during the game to help his team win. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and I’m excited to add him to our locker room at NC State.” (GP)

On April 4th, news broke that Copeland was transferring from McNeese St. to run with the Wolfpack, reuniting with his McNeese St. Head Coach Will Wade. Copeland took his Official Visit to Raleigh last Wednesday.

This year, Copeland, a tall point guard, was another player with whom Wade found success. Copeland averaged 9.2 points, 4.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in his one year with the Cowboys. His 147 assists were the ninth-most in McNeese St. history for a single season. Copeland earned All-Southland Conference 2nd Team honors and a spot on the All-Southland Tournament Team.

Prior to heading to Lake Charles, Copeland played his first two seasons at Syracuse. Even though he never carved out a starting role, he was a significant contributor off the bench in his second year, averaging 9.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals.

Currently, ON3 ranks Copeland as a 4-Star Transfer Prospect, the #200 overall prospect that entered the Transfer Portal and the #47 Shooting Guard.

Copeland has one year of eligibility remaining.
