#13 NC State (30-13) snapped a 7-game winning streak this evening, falling 6-3 to UNCW (24-20) at home.

Sophomore Cooper Consiglio has simply not found his footing in 2025. This evening, the Seahawks tagged him for 3 earned runs in 3 innings. Consiglio now has a 1-3 record with a 9.47 ERA on the year.

Sophomores Chris McHugh (1B) and Luke Nixon (2B) accounted for 4 of NC State’s 7 hits, contributing 2 each. McHugh was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, a double and a walk, knocking in a run in the 1st and the 3rd. Nixon was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Redshirt sophomore catcher Drew Lanphere provided the only other RBI for NC State this evening, forcing a run across the plate on a groundout.

Sophomore Jacob Dudan’s streak of innings without allowing an earned run continues, but two unearned runs did come across the plate when he was on the mound in the 9th inning, after Nixon was unable to handle what appeared to be a routine ground ball. Dudan hasn’t allowed an earned run in 14.2 innings and now has an ERA of 2.59.

The Wolfpack will look to get their revenge against the Seahawks next Tuesday night in a rematch in Wilmington at 6 p.m.
