Butler Transfer Forward Colt Langdon (6’7”/225) has signed the dotted line to play basketball for NC State next season.

“Recruiting the state of North Carolina is going to be important to our program so to get a kid like Colt, who you could tell is going to take a lot of pride in putting that NC State uniform on, is great for us. I’m excited to have him with the Pack. He’s a great shooter that can score the ball from all over the court. Like any young player he’s just at the beginning of what type of player he will ultimately become, but he has the work ethic to accomplish great things and I think he’s a great addition to our locker room.” (GP)

Langdon entered the Transfer Portal on April 17th. He visited NC State on April 19th. On Thursday, he announced he was committing to run with the Wolfpack.

This past season, Langdon redshirted his first collegiate season at Butler.

Coming out of High School, he was a consensus 3-Star prospect out of Millbrook High School, right down the road in Raleigh.

ON3 ranked him as the #145 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class, the #38 Small Forward and the #10 player in the state of North Carolina.

Langdon was originally a member of the 2025 recruiting class, but reclassified to the 2024 class to head to college a year early, which means next season he will be the age of a typical Freshman.

ON3 ranks Langdon as a 4-star Transfer prospect, the #264 overall player in the Portal and the #62 Power Forward.

As a Junior at Millbrook, he averaged 26.4 points and 10.0 rebounds, shooting 37% from three, breaking the schools scoring record.
