Texas Tech Transfer EDGE Joseph Adedire Commits to NC State!

Texas Tech Transfer EDGE Joseph Adedire (6’3″/165) has committed to NC State after taking a visit to Raleigh yesterday.

N.C. State has landed a commitment from former Texas Tech DE/EDGE Joseph Adedire, his agent @ZCardenez tells @RivalsFriedman.

Adedire spent his first three seasons with the Red Raiders.

In 2022, he earned the trust of the Texas Tech coaching staff as a True Freshman, playing in 12 games, starting in 6 as an Edge Rusher. As the only True Freshman to play in 4+ games, Adedire tallied 19 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 1 sack. His PFF grade was 55.6 in 306 snaps. Adedire earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors as a True Freshman.

As a True Sophomore, Adedire was moved to Outside Linebacker, starting in 8 of the 12 games he played in. Adedire had 25 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 1 pass breakup in 548 snaps, earning a grade of 64.6.

This year, he missed the entire season due to injury, redshirting the season.

ON3 and 247Sports both rank Adedire as a 3-star Transfer Portal prospect. The former ranks him as the #109 EDGE Rusher, and the latter ranks him as the #446 overall Portal Prospect, and the #45 EDGE Rusher.

Adedire has two years of eligibility remaining.
