FSU Transfer Forward Jerry Deng (6’9”/220) has signed on the dotted line to play basketball for NC State next season.

Jerry is a tall and long forward that is going to be a really good player in our system. He’s a highly-skilled off-ball player that has strong catch-and-shoot ability and will do a great job helping us space the floor offensively. He’s a high energy player that has good instincts for how to play the game and I think he will do a great job in our program. (GP)

Deng committed to run with the Wolfpack this past Friday.

In his lone season in Tallahassee, Deng averaged 7.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game. He started 2 of the 21 games he played in.

Deng began his collegiate career at Hampton, where he averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game, starting 11 of 33 games.

Coming out of high school, ON3 rated Deng as a 3-star prospect, and 247Sports gave him 2 stars. Currently, 247Sports has Deng rated as a 4-star transfer prospect, ranked as the #274 overall player to enter the portal this offseason and the #47 power forward.
