Predictions are rolling in for Memphis All-American Transfer Guard PJ Haggerty (6’3″/191) to NC State.

Last night, Jeff Goodman reported that NC State and Ole Miss were the two frontrunners in Haggerty’s recruitment. Goodman is now reporting that Ole Miss is out, and NC State is standing alone at the front.

Ole Miss is now out of the PJ Haggerty sweepstakes, source told @TheFieldOf68.

I’m told by one source that Ole Miss never actually spoke to Haggerty through the process.

According to speculation, Haggerty entered the Portal with a $4 million price tag. Who knows if that was totally accurate, but the understanding is the price on the tag has dropped. With that being said, if he commits to NC State, he will be there highest paid player. He’s a Top-3 Portal player.

Haggerty is also exploring his 2025 NBA Draft options, so keep your eye on that. At this point, he is expected to be a mid-to-late 2nd round pick.

This past season, Haggerty earned Consensus 2nd Team All-American honors, averaging 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.8 steals for the Tigers. Haggerty was named the 2025 AAC Player of the Year. In his third year of college ball, Haggerty improved his outside shot, making 36.4% from three.

The year before, he averaged 21.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals with Tulsa, earning 3rd Team All-AAC honors.

Haggerty redshirted his first collegiate season at TCU.
