#13 NC State lost its 3rd straight game, falling 10-1 to Miami in Game 2 this evening on the road.

For the second straight night, the Wolfpack’s starting pitcher allowed 6 earned runs. This time it was Sophomore Heath Andrews, who surrendered 6 earned runs in 3.2 innings of work, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks.

Sophomore Cooper Consiglio’s 2025 struggles continued this evening, giving up 2 earned runs in 2.2 innings to close out the game.

NC State did put 9 hits on the box score, but they only produced 1 run. It’s hard to score runs when all your hits are singles.

Junior Outfielder Josh Hogue (2-for-5) and Sophomore Second Baseman Luke Nixon (2-for-4) both had 2 hits in the contest.

Hogue, Sophomore Third Baseman Ryan Jaros, and Freshman Infielder Ryder Woodson each had an RBI.

Tonight’s loss handed the Wolfpack its first series loss since the Duke series on the last weekend of March. NC State had won 4 consecutive ACC series.

The Wolfpack will look to snap a 3-game losing streak tomorrow when Ryan Marohn takes the mound at noon.
