NC State Lands Two on the 2025 ACC Baseball All-Freshman Team

The 2025 ACC Baseball All-Freshman Team was announced today, and NC State center fielder Ty Head and reliever Anderson Nance earned spots.

Nance finished the regular season with an 8-1 record and a 2.94 ERA. Opponents are hitting .238 against him, and his WHIP is 1.08. Nance ranks 3rd in the ACC in wins.

Head is batting .274 but boasts an impressive on-base percentage of .414. He ranks 7th in the ACC in walks (48) and 2nd in sacrifice flies (6). It doesn’t show up in the stat sheet, but Head’s exceptional catches in center field have established him as one of the most electric outfielders in the ACC as a freshman.
