REPORT: Texas Tech Transfer Forward Darrion Williams Pulls Name from NBA Draft…NC State & Kansas are the Leaders

Texas Tech Transfer Forward Darrion Williams (6’6″/225) has pulled his name out of the 2025 NBA Draft, and according to Field of 68, NC State and Kansas are the leaders to land him.

Back on April 23rd, Field of 68 reported that if Williams did pull out of the draft, Kansas, Ohio State, and NC State would be in the mix.

Williams has had an illustrious collegiate career.

As a freshman at Nevada, he was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year, averaging 7.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals, shooting 35.7% from three.

The following year, Williams transferred to Texas Tech, earning a spot on the All-Big 12 Third Team, averaging 11.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals, shooting 49.4% from the field and 45.8% from three.

This season, Williams was named First Team All-Big 12, averaging 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals, shooting 43.9% from the field and 34% from three.

Williams has one year of eligibility remaining.

NC State fans are still waiting for news to break that Memphis All-American Guard PJ Haggerty is transferring to NC State.

Could the Wolfpack possibly land Williams and Haggerty?
