Former NC State All-American Carlos Rodon is on One of the Best Runs in Yankees History

You’d be hard pressed to find a better pitcher in the MLB over the past two months than former NC State All-American Carlos Rodon.

Last night, Rodon picked up his 8th win of the season (8-3) in the Yankees 3-2 win over the Guardians, giving up 1 earned run in 7 innings, striking out 8.

Rodon has picked up a Win in his last 7 decisions, with his last loss coming on April 13th.

Over his last 9 starts, his ERA is 1.27.

The start to the year was rough for the former Wolfpacker, but over his last 8 starts he’s been lights out.

Prior to giving up a run in the 7th inning last night, Rodon had gone 25 consecutive innings without giving up a run .

On the year, Rodon has a 2.49 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP and 98 strikeouts in 79.1 innings. Batters are hitting .167 against him.

Top put it into perspective, what Rodon has done in his last 9 starts has never been done in Yankees history.
