Former NC State 3rd Baseman Ryder Woodson is transferring to Mississippi St.

Woodson entered the Transfer Portal on June 5th.

He started just 5 of the 26 games he appeared in, but Wolfpack fans will remember his clutch performance in the final three games of the season during the NCAA Tournament. In that stretch, he went 5-for-14 with 8 RBIs, 4 runs, 3 home runs, and 2 doubles.

For the season, Woodson posted a .361 batting average, a .465 on-base percentage, a .694 slugging percentage, and a 1.145 OPS.

Coming out of high school, Woodson was ranked as the No. 39 shortstop in the state of Florida in the 2024 class, according to Perfect Game.

Woodson has 3 years of eligibility remaining.
