NC State Baseball had 3 Players Participate in the 2025 MLB Combine

NC State Baseball had three players participate in the 2025 MLB Combine this week: Junior Starting Pitcher Dominic Fritton, Sophomore Starting Pitcher Heath Andrews, and Junior Relief Pitcher Shane Van Dam.

Fritton just wrapped up his junior year at NC State, finishing with a 5-6 record and a 4.47 ERA. He struck out 107 batters in 86.2 innings. In three years with the Wolfpack, Fritton is 11-16 with a 5.26 ERA, recording 254 strikeouts in 222.1 innings. He earned 3rd Team All-ACC honors this season, as well as ACC All-Freshman and 1st Team Freshman All-American honors in his first year.

Heath Andrews completed his sophomore season with a 4-3 record and a 6.02 ERA, striking out 53 batters in 64.1 innings. Over two seasons with the Wolfpack, Andrews is 4-4 with a 6.72 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 73.2 innings.

Shane Van Dam just wrapped up his second season with NC State, making only three appearances in 2024 due to a season-ending UCL injury. He finished this season with a 4.50 ERA. In his first season in Raleigh, he posted a 4.58 ERA across 16 appearances, striking out 38 batters in 37.1 innings. Van Dam began his collegiate career at the Division III level with SUNY Cortland, where he went 2-1 with a 3.07 ERA in his freshman year.
