Yesterday, it was announced that former Wolfpack wide receiver TJ Graham would be the head football coach for the Warriors. Today, it was announced that former NC State basketball player and Wolfpack assistant coach Levi Watkins has been named the head basketball coach at St. David’s.

Watkins played basketball for the Wolfpack from 2001–05. He averaged 5.1 points per game in 97 games at NC State, starting in 20. After graduating, Watkins was a member of the NC State coaching staff from 2005–2013, serving as administrative coordinator, video coordinator, and director of basketball operations.

Before returning to the NC State coaching staff in 2022, Watkins was on staff at Buffalo, Arizona State, and Ole Miss. Prior to the hiring of Will Wade, Watkins served as an assistant coach at NC State for the past three seasons under Kevin Keatts.
