Former NC State All-American Trea Turner Reaches 300 Career Steals

On Saturday, former NC State All-American Trea Turner picked up his 300th career stolen base, becoming the only active Shortstop with 300 steals.

Turner joins 2nd Baseman Jose Altuve (Astros) and Outfielder Sterling Marte (Mets) as the only 3 active players with 300 career stolen bases.

In the scope of MLB history, Turner’s combination of speed and power are a rarity. He is one of only 4 Shortstops to ever compile 180 home runs and 300 stolen bases.
