5-Star PG Derron Rippey Jr. Includes NC State in His Top-12

5-Star 2026 Point Guard Derron Rippey Jr. (6’2″/175) released his Top-12 schools today, and NC State made the cut along with UNC, Kentucky, Alabama, Miami, Syracuse, Texas, Duke, Louisville, Kansas, Indiana and Tennessee.

NC State offered Rippey Jr. back on June 7th.

He already has the following Official Visits scheduled.

Rivals and 247Sports both rank Rippey Jr. as the #17 overall player nationally in the 2026 recruiting class and the #1 player in the state of New Jersey. 24Sports ranks Rippey Jr. as the #2 Point Guard nationally.

This year, he led Blair Academy to a 24-4 record, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. Rippey Jr. was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey as a Junior.
