NC State Offers 5-Star 2028 Guard Kameron Mercer

5-Star 2028 Guard Kameron Mercer (6’5″/195) picked up an offer from NC State yesterday.

ESPN ranks Mercer as the #6 player overall nationally in the 2028 recruiting class, the #3 Small Forward and the #3 player in the state of Georgia. Rivals and 247Sports both list him as a Shooting Guard.

Mercer also holds offers from Ohio St., Xavier, Missouri, Cincinnati and Louisville.

He will be playing for Overtime Elite this upcoming year.

Kam Mercer is a 6-5, 200 lb shooting guard from Cincinnati, Ohio who played at Huntington Expression Prep last season. Mercer is a class of 2028 guard who is ranked fifth in the class according to ESPN. Mercer will be joining RWE for the 2025-26 season where he will play alongside one of the top players at OTE in Taylen Kinney 💪

Mercer was recently named to the USA U16 National team who will be competing at the FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup in early June. Mercer plays up an age group on the Nike EYBL circuit with Indy Heat. Playing at the most recent Nike EYBL session, Mercer helped lead the Heat to a 4-0 record after averaging 9.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.0 APG and 2.3 SPG. Mercer has an extremely high ceiling as a two way player with a penchant for attacking the basket 😤
