There was a lot of buzz surrounding NC State landing Gambian Center Musa Sagnia (6’8”/218) earlier this summer.

In Will Wade’s Summer Press Conference, the Wolfpack Head Coach said he still wanted to add a piece or two to their frontcourt, and if it happened, it would likely come from the international ranks.

Wade always wanted to land Sagnia, and he got what he wanted at the last second.

Sagnia will be playing for NC State this upcoming season, enrolling before yesterday’s deadline.

The 22-year old has played for Manresa in Spain for the past four seasons in Liga ACB.

Sagnia has the potential to be a rebounding presence down low with a 6’11” wingspan. He also has the ability to create off the dribble and knock down shots from the perimeter.

This past season, Sagnia averaged 3.8 points and 3.1 boards in 33 games for Manresa, averaging 14.5 minutes per game.
