NC State Redshirt Sophomore Wide Receiver Noah Rogers was forced to leave the Wolfpack’s 24–17 win over ECU last Thursday after what appeared to be a head injury, when the knee of a Pirate defender made forceful contact with his helmet.

As a result, it was uncertain whether NC State would be without one of its two starting wide receivers against the Cavaliers this upcoming Saturday.

Head Coach Dave Doeren shared in his weekly press conference today that Rogers has been cleared and will be available this Saturday against UVA.

“Yeah, Noah’s good,” said Doeren. “He’s totally cleared, and we’re looking forward to having him back.”

Rogers played 36 snaps last Thursday, recording two receptions for 19 yards on four targets.

Having Rogers back against the Cavaliers this Saturday is a huge boost for NC State’s offense.

The Triangle native posted 35 receptions for 478 yards and a touchdown last season as a redshirt freshman, ranking third on the team in receptions and second in receiving yards.

Coming out of Rolesville High School just down the road, ON3 ranked Rogers as the No. 26 overall player nationally in the 2023 recruiting class, the No. 8 wide receiver, and the No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina.
