NC State’s Depth Chart vs. Duke (with notes)

NC State has released their Depth Chart for their upcoming game against Duke this Saturday. Notes are below.

Notes

• Redshirt Senior Yousef Mugharbil was listed as the starter at Right Guard in last week’s Depth Chart after starting the week before against UVA. In the end, Redshirt Sophomore Kamen Smith moved back into the starting role at Right Guard against Wake Forest.
  • Mugharbil is now listed as the backup Left Guard behind Anthony Carter Jr.
• Redshirt Senior JJ Johnson has started at Strong Safety in the first three games, but he is now listed as the starter at Free Safety.
• Redshirt Freshman Brody Barnhardt was listed as the backup to Johnson at Strong Safety on last week’s Depth Chart, but he ended up making his first career start against Wake Forest at Free Safety.
  • Barnhardt is now listed as the starter at Strong Safety.
  • Despite being listed as the starter at Free Safety, JJ Johnson is also listed as the backup at Strong Safety.
• Redshirt Freshman Ronnie Royal III started the first two games at Free Safety, and was listed as the starter on last week’s Depth Chart, but Barnhardt got the nod against the Deacs.
  • Royal III is now listed as Johnson’s backup at Free Safety.
