Darrion Williams & Ven-Allen Lubin will Represent NC State at the 2025 ACC Tipoff

NC State Senior Forwards Darrion Williams and Ven-Allen Lubin will represent NC State at the 2025 ACC Tipoff next week.

Ven-Allen Lubin (6’9″/250)

As a high school prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, he was a consensus 4-star prospect out of Orlando, Florida. He committed to Notre Dame and played in 28 games as a freshman (7 starts), averaging 6.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game, shooting 58% from the field.

In Year 2, Lubin transferred to Vanderbilt, where he found a starting role, averaging 12.3 points and 6.3 boards, shooting 50% from the field.

Last season, he transferred to UNC, starting in 20 of 37 games and averaging 8.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per game. Lubin shot 68.4% from the field this past season.

ON3 ranked him as the #42 overall player to enter the Transfer Portal this offseason and the #8 Small Forward.

Darrion Williams (6’6″/215)

Williams has had an illustrious collegiate career.

As a freshman at Nevada, he was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year, averaging 7.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals, shooting 35.7% from three.

The following year, Williams transferred to Texas Tech, earning a spot on the All-Big 12 Third Team, averaging 11.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals, shooting 49.4% from the field and 45.8% from three.

This past season, Williams was named First Team All-Big 12, averaging 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals, shooting 43.9% from the field and 34% from three.

ON3 ranked him as the #6 overall player to enter the Transfer Portal this offseason, and the #1 Small Forward.
