According to reports, NC State and Virginia will play one another in a football game in Brazil in 2026. Yes, you read that correctly.

Two years ago, NC State and Virginia agreed to play a home-and-home non-conference series. The first game of the series was played in Raleigh this season, with the Wolfpack defeating the Cavaliers 35-31 on September 6th. The game that was scheduled to be played in Charlottesville is being replaced by the game in Brazil.

As a result of the ACC moving to a 9-game conference slate, the international game between NC State and Virginia will now be a conference game.

This marks the first time NC State has played a football game outside of the United States.

While Brazil has hosted a couple of NFL games, this will mark the first college football game played there.

The game will be played in Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

Georgia Tech and Florida St. played one another internationally in Australia last season.
