The official preseason poll for the 2015 ACC Football season was released this morning at the ACC Kickoff down in Pinehurst.

NC State was picked to finish 4th in the Atlantic Division. Clemson was picked to win the Atlantic and Georgia Tech was picked to win the Coastal, with Clemson slotted as the ACC Champion.

Here is the preseason ranking of the ACC according to 158 members of the media.

1) Clemson – 1,032 points
2) Florida St. – 992
3) Georgia Tech – 991
4) Virginia Tech – 841
5) Louisville – 746
6) NC State – 643
7) Miami – 632
8) Duke – 615
9) UNC – 590
10) Pittsburgh – 535
11) Boston College – 473

14) Wake Forest – 217

NC State did pick up 1 vote to win the ACC, but strangely picked up 0 votes to win the Atlantic Division.  To whoever you are, NC State fans appreciate the sentiment.

WATCH: PackInsider’s Kevin Concepcion Freshman Highlight Reel



Kevin Concepcion had one of the best seasons by a Freshman in the history of the NC State football program. He was named the ACC Rookie of the Year and earned Freshman All-American honors. Concepcion finished his first collegiate season with 71 receptions for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also rushed the ball for 320 yards, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Concepcion broke NC State’s Freshman records for receptions and touchdown receptions.

Vegas is Higher on NC State Heading Into 2024 Than They Were Heading Into Last Year



The bookmakers in Las Vegas have released their odds for total regular season wins for the 2024 College Football season, and NC State is sitting at 8.5. For perspective, entering the 2023 season, the number was 6.5, and the Wolfpack went on to win 9.

Here’s a look at Vegas’ opinion of the rest of the ACC heading into 2024:

2023 record: 9-4, 6-2 ACC

Winter update: The Wolfpack should be much more explosive on offense after adding former Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall and some nice playmakers around him. McCall passed for more than 10,000 yards with 106 total touchdowns with the Chanticleers. The Wolfpack also added Jordan Waters, who was Duke’s leading rusher with 819 yards and 12 scores in 2023. Eight new receivers are coming in, including Noah Rogers (Ohio State) and Wesley Grimes (Wake Forest). Tight end Justin Joly was very productive at UConn. Safety Donovan Kaufman (Auburn) and cornerbacks Tamarcus Cooley (Maryland) and Devon Marshall (Villanova) might help fill some holes in the secondary. (ESPN)
